Acceptable Use
The line is the law, not content categories.
The short version
- PrivaPaid does not impose content-category restrictions beyond the law. Lawful content — including lawful adult content — is permitted.
- Crime is not. Illegal content, financial crimes, and sanctions violations get accounts suspended immediately, without notice.
- Because the rail is non-custodial, enforcement can only ever stop future sales. Money already settled is in your wallet and stays there.
1. Scope
This policy applies to your use of this website, the hosted demo, and the SatsRail payment rail that PrivaPaid deployments connect to. It supplements — and for payment processing is enforced alongside — the SatsRail Acceptable Use Policy, which governs every SatsRail merchant account. SatsRail operates under a published regulatory compliance framework.
2. What is permitted
Any content that is legal in your jurisdiction and in the jurisdictions you sell into. PrivaPaid was built for creators that mainstream platforms label "high-risk" and drop first; we do not maintain a list of disfavored categories. Lawful adult content is explicitly permitted.
3. Prohibited activities
The following are prohibited. The list is illustrative, not exhaustive; SatsRail determines violations in its reasonable discretion.
3.1 Illegal content and activity
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualized depiction of minors — zero tolerance, immediate termination, and referral to law enforcement
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Sale of illegal drugs, weapons, stolen goods, stolen data, or compromised credentials
- Human trafficking or exploitation in any form
- Content that infringes others' intellectual property — piracy, counterfeits, reselling content you don't own
- Fraud, phishing, extortion, or deceptive schemes
3.2 Financial crimes
- Money laundering, or structuring transactions to evade reporting requirements
- Terrorist financing
- Evading economic sanctions (OFAC, EU, UN), including processing payments for sanctioned persons or from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions
- Operating an unlicensed money transmitter or exchange through the rail
- Mixing, tumbling, or laundering services designed to obscure the origin of funds
- Processing proceeds of theft, hacks, or ransomware
3.3 Platform abuse
- Registering accounts under false identities, or fronting for an undisclosed third party
- Creating multiple accounts to dodge plan limits or enforcement actions
- Circumventing rate limits, access controls, or security measures; attacking the service or its users
- Exposing secret API keys client-side, or using the API to attack or scrape the service
4. Your compliance responsibilities
You are responsible for the legality of your own business: licenses and registrations where required, taxes, consumer protection rules, age-verification obligations that apply to your content in markets you serve, and KYC/AML obligations to the extent they apply to you. SatsRail does not provide legal advice.
5. Enforcement — and its honest limits
Violations can result in warnings, temporary suspension, or immediate account locking and permanent API revocation — without prior notice for serious violations such as illegal activity, sanctions issues, or fraud. Suspected crimes may be reported to law enforcement. Appeals go to compliance@satsrail.com within thirty (30) days; the enforcement tiers and appeal process are detailed in the SatsRail Acceptable Use Policy.
One structural fact distinguishes this from every custodial platform: enforcement can only stop future sales. Because payments settle directly from your buyer's wallet to yours, there is no balance to freeze, no payout to withhold, and no clawback mechanism. Money you have already earned is yours — that is architecture, not policy.
6. Reporting
Report suspected violations of this policy — or unauthorized use of your own account or API keys — to compliance@satsrail.com.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted prominently on this page at least fifteen (15) days before taking effect.
